New-Build Solar PV - St Sampson

Three new dwellings and a renovation at Fontaines, St. Sampson. The developer was keen to get solar energy into this build, having had solar on his own property since 2010. Three roofs are Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV), and the renovated home is a flat roof installation. Each BIPV system consists of 8 x 300 Watt of special in-roof panels ((2.4kW) and the flat roof output will be 1.9kW peak. The main house systems are spread across east to west. The ease of installation for BIPV makes for a fast install in place of a large amount of slates. Planning was very much behind this type of array, and permission was straight-forward.
